Admission Requirements

Admission to Emirates National Schools will be based on an assessment of the suitability of the student to be successful in our programs as well as availability of seats. The assessment may include interviews with the student conducted by the Campus Director or delegate. In addition to this oral assessment, there will be formal written assessments, which assess ability in Arabic, English and Mathematics.

These tests will be related to the academic background and age of the student and do not require any prior preparation.

 

Before an appointment for such assessments can be arranged, the parents of a prospective student will need to complete and personally submit the following documents at the Registration Office:

  •         The Student birth certificate.
  •         The Student Passport and Residence Visa if applicable.
  •         Two photos of the student.
  •         ENS Application Form.(available at each campus Registration Office)
  •       Copy of report card from previous school for previous school year and for first term/semester of current school year (where applicable).
  •       Copy of passport of sponsoring parent/guardian and Residence Visa (where applicable).
  •         Copy of Immunization Card.
  •         Copy of Emirate ID for Student and Parent.
  •        Copy of Family Book (for local students).
  •        Copy of Electricity Bill.

Upon receiving an offer of a Seat for their child, parents should pay within 5 days the non-refundable Registration Fee as stated in the fee structure and submit the following documents in order to secure that place for the next academic year.

  •          The original report card from previous school for previous school year and for first  term/semester of current school year (where applicable In the case of student applicants from outside UAE) attested by the appropriate authorities in the country of origin which must include the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UAE Embassy in that county.
  •         A Letter of Transfer attested by the appropriate authorities in the country of origin  which must include the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UAE Embassy in that county.
  •         A letter of good behavior from the previous school.
  •         Payment of the appropriate tuition and other fees, which have become due.

 Age Criteria

The school’s curriculum learning objectives determine the recommended minimum age required for admission to each class as follows:

Kindergarten 1
4 to 5 years
Kindergarten 2
5 to 6 years
Grade 1
6 to 7 years
